Overview

This position is responsible for driving the bus / van for purposes of providing and

addressing transportation needs of the SNF / AL Community, individual, and group transportation.

Responsibilities / Job Description

Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner. · Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period.

• Organizes work assignments. · Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers. · Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle.
• Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.

Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties. · Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations.

Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.

Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. · Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services.

• Knows and practices infection control procedures. · Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures. · Knows and practices safety procedures.

Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights. · Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma / GED

Current driver's license in good standing

Must be insurable under the employers auto Insurance Coverage

Preferred

one to three years of experience
