• Ansible Automation Engineer (this is a junior level role and the pay will reflect this)

Job Description:

Junior Ansible Automation Engineer needed for developing and maintaining automation scripts using Ansible to manage and configure Cisco switches. You will work closely with our senior engineers and network operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for the automation of Cisco switch configurations.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches using Ansible.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices and standards for network automation.
• Monitor and report on the performance and status of network devices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality automation scripts.
• Document automation processes, configurations, and changes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to network automation and Cisco switches.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Familiarity with Cisco switches and IOS commands.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or other scripting languages.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of network automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Basic knowledge of other network automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef).
• Familiarity with REST APIs and their use in network automation.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
