TITLE: Associate Merchandiser, Custom Division

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $70,000

REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Custom Division

FUNCTION:

The Associate Merchandiser will assist our Senior Director of Custom with daily tasks and responsibilities supporting private label account management, including sample sending, system and data management, market research, and general organization. They will touch all aspects of the product lifecycle from merchandising and product conception through product development and production. They will be exposed to various aspects of customer facing activities and closely on a day-to-day basis with the design and product development teams.

EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

• Handle customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person
• Input, update, and manage data
• Maintain calendars and customer WIP
• Run and analyze booking reports and selling
• Review, process, and organize customer orders and requirements
• Manage account photos and website copy
• Perform market research to find white space
• Assist in generating new leads and converting new customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in wholesale, retail and/or private label sales
• Must be very organized, detail oriented with strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Strong analytical thinking
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent understanding of retail math
• Proficiency in PLM

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Hybrid role: In-office attendance is expected 3-4 times per week in NYC office
