Echo Incorporated is looking for a QC Inspector I. In this role, you will conduct Finished Goods inspections using the "A" and Visual Inspection methods and report findings to the QC supervisor. Additionally, you will perform assembly process audits and report the results to the QC supervisor. You will review non-conforming units with the QC supervisor and assist in determining the root cause. You will inform production group leaders before removing products for the “A” inspection audit. Assembly of some components may be necessary to verify proper fit.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 2:45 pm, starting at $17.00/hr.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Audits during Final Assembly of finished goods to ensure compliance with both the "A" specifications and Visual Inspection Sheets.
  • If a product fails the audit, promptly inform the group leader, Quality Control (QC), and production teams of the identified issues.
  • Ensure correct packaging of all components into carton boxes, recording their weight before and after the audit to confirm consistency. Should there be a weight discrepancy, withhold product return until QC inspectors determine the missing components.
  • Collaborate with the QC supervisor to analyze the root cause of issues identified during failed audits.
  • Notify the QC documentation clerk of any discrepancies observed in the "A" specifications and Visual Inspection Sheets for necessary updates.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing issues identified during failed audits.
  • Undertake additional duties and assignments as necessary to support the smooth operation of the department and company.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of inspection experience with knowledge of measuring tools and able to read blueprints preferred but willing to train.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Availability to work required Saturdays.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. and maintain attention to detail.
