As a trusted behavioral health organization committed to providing care in the community since 1955, we offer an array of comprehensive services for youth, adolescents, and adults. Our Supported Apartment and Housing & Urban Development Programs provide on-site support, resources, and skill-building for adults who are unable to live independently due to their psychiatric needs or who need assistance transitioning to independent living situations.

Job Scope: Lead a diverse team of clinicians providing mental health and crisis de-escalation services in a collaborative and fast paced residential setting. Engage clients with obtaining and managing entitlements, connecting to their community, and managing their apartments independently.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations and evaluates HUD/SAP residential programs as assigned.
  • Works with Residential Services Director to assess future trends in mental health service delivery to be responsive in areas of program development and planning.
  • Interviews, trains, supervises and evaluates for direct subordinates listed above.
  • Provides leadership to the treatment team in implementation of IATP goals and provision of services per program policy.
  • Understands and implements clinical recording, billing, and other written requirements per program and policy and procedure.
  • Ensures DHS quarterly grant data is collected and submitted for HUD and SAP Programs.
  • Ensures HUD data is entered into HMIS in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinates with the Kane County Continuum as requested. Supports HUD monitoring activities. Stays informed on HMIS software.
  • Manage waitlist for their program and ensure that program openings are filled in a timely manner
  • Works with Ecker Center supervisors, managers and directors to coordinate services among programs.
  • Providing a full range of clinical services including assessment, therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, medication monitoring, treatment planning, case management, consultation and rehabilitative services.

Performance Requirements

  • Active in program development and design of activities.
  • Supervising and evaluating clinical staff and programs.
  • Provides consultation regarding care monitoring and special case reviews in the supervisory process.
  • Establishing rapport and maintaining supportive contact with clients.
  • Provides timely appraisals of subordinates’ clinical abilities regarding strength and areas of needed improvement.
  • Knowledge of human development across the life cycle as applicable to the clinical population served.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Huma Service Field, meets definition of a QMHP
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience
  • Minimum of two years supervisory/administrative experience, supervisory experience in a residential setting a plus experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs and/or the unhoused a plus
  • Ability to administer CPR
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, automobile, and a willingness to transport clients as necessary

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (40 hours a week).
  • Periodic evenings and weekends as needed for coverage and supervisory activities
