Civil Design Engineer - Suffolk - excellent salaries and hybrid options Our client, a prominent player in the engineering and construction sector, is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their dedicated team in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a range of projects, including Highways, Drainage, Structures, and Active Travel, under a newly awarded contract encompassing up to 20 years of dynamic development across Suffolk's infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Production of design packages, reports, and other deliverables to meet project specifications. Conducting site visits and surveys necessary for project requirements. Ensuring project delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets, complying with internal standards. Adherence to Health & Safety and Environmental legislation in all working practices. Coordination and resource planning of multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractor management. People management including training, development, and performance reviews. Building customer relationships and working collaboratively to define project objectives and outcomes. Management of customer interactions and relationship development. Job Requirements: Either an Incorporated Engineer or near qualification (IEng/CEng), with strong experience in design and construction within the highways, drainage, or structures sector. Commercial acumen with a track record of delivering projects. Familiarity with local highway authority standards and regulatory requirements. Proven ability in managing and mentoring engineering staff and technicians. Competency with software tools including ASTA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite.
