ecocareers is Hiring a General Manager- Product Certification (TIC) Near Edinburgh, IN

We are currently looking for a General Manager to lead growth in our Product Certification division across the UK. Under general direction, you will plan, organize, coordinate and direct growth, operations, and programs to maintain short and long term financial and organizational viability, while fulfilling commitments to customers. Core Responsibilities: Responsible and accountable to drive and deliver the annual Operational Plan commitments including revenues, profit, working capital and operational performance. Overall Revenue responsibility of $30 M and EBITDA responsibility of $20M Responsibility of circa 200 employees. Promote a customer centric culture through regular interactions with customers Lead the overall organization through a cadence of setting budgets, hitting targets, closing customer deals, growing revenue, increasing profitability, managing safety and quality. Attract, develop, and retain talents to ensure proper staffing levels and skill sets to deliver sustainable business results. Responsible for capital equipment and facilities planning. Prepare and submit accurate plans and forecasts as required, maintain acceptable levels of working capital, and determine and execute corrective actions necessary to achieve plan goals.. Build and execute short- and long-term business plans and strategies to include operational goals, equipment needs, innovative operational and client solutions aligned with staffing for the location. Work in conjunction with long term group growth goals, develop and implement strategies based on geographic business industry knowledge, changing market conditions, technical capability and expertise, and capital expenditures. Qualifications Preferably 8 years’ management experience managing a large organization, with similar size portfolio and colleague responsibility. Proven track record of P & L success and business development; could include sales growth, marketing strategies, negotiating and closing deals, process improvements, innovation, setting budgets, hitting targets, and profitability, growing and developing teams, managing safety and quality, and engaging and developing teams. Strong customer engagement experience preferred with both direct contact with customers and leading an organization to best serve customers. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to proactively identify financial challenges, analyze available information and identify innovative solutions. Must be able to effectively trouble shoot and resolve day to day business challenges. Must have a strong ability to partner (changed from coordinate) with other colleagues and departments (e.g., Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Human Resources, Finance) Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment to deliver business results. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and influence others, as well as being able to articulate and effectively adjusts style, message and approach to the audience. Frequent travel across UK sites - up to 40%. Occasional travel overseas as required.
