SummaryProcesses scrap, recyclable, non-hazardous, and hazardous waste generated from the process of building automobiles. The responsibilities of this position also include contributing to Environmental Management System (EMS) performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in the protection of the environment and reduction of pollution for the activities within the organization. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Follows safety guidelines and procedures
Has ability to touch type
Uses PC- word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Cleans work area according to 5's standards
Receives, segregates, labels, and logs drums/waste containers from Toyota Motor Manufacturing
Prepares manifest and shipping labels
Prepares waste containers for shipment
Schedules trucks
Assists in loading trucks
Assists in preparing the monthly reports covering areas of scrap and waste functions
Prepares status reports
Assists in identifying waste
Assists in finding vendors for waste disposal
Receives and transmits calls for pick up of full waste containers, delivery of empty waste containers, and recyclable containers
Participates in team meetings and training
Assists in other areas as time permits
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification RequirementsSkilled in PC work processing, spreadsheets, databases, and types 40-50 WPM. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience and/or training. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Training as defined in 40402AAA, Training Requirements Matrix. Green Metals, Inc. unique training may be obtained during first three months of employment. Additional training will be provided as a part of Continuous Improvement. Language SkillsAbility to read, write legibly and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and create data for and interpret graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet, humid, extreme cold, and extreme heat conditions. The employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will be required to wear protective clothing, gloves, hard hat, respirator, as specified in the various processes and/or instructions. The employee will also be required to wear safety shoes, high visibility vest/clothing, soft cap and safety glasses. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. NOTE: This position could be a problem for someone with an acute allergy condition. NOTE: This position will require an annual physical for respiratory capacity testing.
