Summary:
This opportunity offers a platform for professional growth, where you will be responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You will work closely with the project manager, contributing to research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. Your application of engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity will be crucial. Leveraging your technical knowledge, experience, and client relationships will play a key role in assisting in the execution and evaluation of project designs. The role also includes mentoring, training, reviewing the work of junior engineering staff, and providing constructive feedback to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water resources design and engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Maryland.
• Experience with MDOT, VDOT, and PennDOT projects preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and CADD for developing 3D models and construction plans.
• Experience with GIS software, ArcGIS, and GPS units.
• Strong proficiency in project management, time management, and independent progression of design tasks.
• Experience with stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, ecological restoration, stream/wetland mitigation.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal permit requirements, particularly Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) regulations.
