Job Description Summary The Federal Policy Team at Enterprise Community Partners is hiring interns. The interns will work to safeguard, strengthen, and expand resources for affordable housing and community development through federal appropriations and tax credits. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, interest in advancing affordable housing issues in a bipartisan manner, attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Location: Washington DC, with hybrid office attendance expected Job Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Draft blog posts, articles, op-eds, and other external communications Draft and update advocacy materials, including fact sheets and issue briefs; Coordinate and track advocacy efforts Prepare for congressional visits and coalition meetings Attend affordable housing events, coalition meetings, congressional hearings and markups, and provide detailed minutes Maintain a professional website and social media presence Track and monitor federal housing and community development legislation; and General administrative duties as necessary Qualifications: Graduate student or college graduate preferred Previous office experience preferred Interest in public policy, especially affordable housing and community development policy, working with a diverse range of stakeholders, and the Congressional legislative process Strong research skills and the ability to analyze and report/summarize policy issues Ability to pay close attention to detail, with strong organization skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivation; ability to work both independently and as a team player Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills and familiarity with cloud-based software are required, Adobe InDesign skills a plus To be considered, a cover letter must be submitted Total Rewards at Enterprise: You will be working with a group of talented professionals who are motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing. Enterprise offers a comprehensive total rewards package for you and your family. The pay range for this role is $20-$25 per hour, depending on level of skills and experience. The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range is just a part of the total rewards package provided to employees at Enterprise, and other rewards may include annual performance bonuses and generous paid leave programs.
