ECS is seeking a Field Service Engineer to work in our Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii office.

Job Description:

ECS Federal is seeking a Deployable Field Service Engineer to be based in Hawaii. They will support programs involving the installation, configuration, and integration of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence on deployed platforms. The successful candidate will install, configure and troubleshoot software installs in both Windows and Linux environments (CONUS and OCONUS).The successful candidate would be comfortable working in a Linux environment and would also have above average experience with networking. The candidate should have prior experience in computer applications, languages, technologies, advanced set-up and configurations, troubleshooting, and system design.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform security base-lining
• Manage containerized applications.
• Provide technical briefs to Government/SETA representatives.
• Generate technical documentation, architectures, and after-action reports.
• Troubleshoot Linux systems deployed in development and production environments.
• Communicate effectively within the Intelligence Community and DoD.
• Conduct cyclical inventory and maintain account of Program hardware.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.

Required Skills:

• Active Top-Secret/ SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equal years on the job experience.
• 4 years of Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Extensive knowledge of computer networking.
• Experience utilizing containerization technologies (e.g. - Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes)

Desired Skills:

• TS/SCI ( CI Poly) security clearance.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Experience working with OpenShift Container Platform.
• Experience Implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices and procedures.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise level systems.
• Experience developing Architecture and Data Flow Diagrams using graphing programs (e.g. Visio).
• Experience working with multicast video transmission.
