Position SummaryThe Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselor utilizes their expertise to support and counsel individuals through crisis intervention, brief solutions-focused counseling, referrals to treatment or other outside community resources, and ongoing follow-up for ECU Health team members and their eligible family members. As a EAP Counselor, You Will
Provide orientation and well-being services to team members and their eligible family members
Coordinate consultation and counseling via face-to-face and/or video conferencing
Deliver management and leadership consultation and coaching, and other EAP organizational interventions
The counselor is a trusted and compassionate resource for ECU Health leadership and team members throughout the organization. Minimum Requirements
Master's Degree, Licensed Major: Psychology, Social Work, MFT or other mental health field
LMFT, LCMHC, LCSW, PhD licensure
Provisionally licensed clinician considered. Must become fully licensed within 2 years
Two to three years' experience in short-term counseling or therapy experience in a clinical mental health
Preferred
Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)
Experience providing counseling to children and couples
Experience providing substance abuse assessment and counseling
Public speaking skills and experience
Knowledge of and experience in the use of a variety of counseling modalities, knowledgeable in community resources; basic knowledge of human resources practices and policies
Experience using electronic medical record and maintaining accurate clinical records per licensure standards
Other Information
40 hours a week
Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm), shift hours may vary
Hybrid: Employees are required to work on-site for the 1st 90 days
Regional travel to other entities as needed
Rotating on call
