Position Summary
Operates routine and emergency communication system.
Responsibilities
Operates routine and emergency communication system: receives incoming calls and transfers such to appropriate party
Asists and logs outgoing calls such as long distance calls for patients and/or employees
Responds to alarms and emergency calls according to standard procedures
Operates overhead paging system as directed; maintains up-to-date beeper and telephone numbers of employees and physicians
May perform as back-up contact for ambulance calls in absence of Ambulance Personnel; and may provide patient location information during evening shift
Minimum Requirements
High School or equivalent
