The Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a BE/BC Medical Oncologist at a rank commensurate with qualifications; tenure track or fixed term appointment available at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor OR Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor. This position will be a Medical Oncologist to see our hematology, malignant hematology, breast or colorectal population. He/she will be working with our multi-disciplinary cancer specialty clinics and tumor boards. The individual in this position will also have a research focus with a particular focus in their subspecialty clinical trials. East Carolina University Hematology Oncology is a Main Member of the Alliance Cooperative Group Clinical trials network, and this position would be expected to serve as a PI on Alliance group clinical trials. This candidate will be expected to teach our Hematology Oncology fellows and to be core clinical faculty. He/she will perform new patient consultations on patients who are inpatients as well as have 70% time in clinic seeing new and established patients.Employment in this position provides eligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) which offers matching employer contributions and employee control of investment choices, along with eligibility to participate in various Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Plans (401k, 403b. 457). This position is not eligible to participate in the NC Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS).
