Job DescriptionThe HPPI Portfolio at EDC has an opening for a Casual Substance Misuse Prevention Training & Technical Assistance Associate.
The HPPI portfolio includes projects related to trauma, violence and injury prevention, substance misuse prevention, and suicide prevention. This position has a specific focus on substance misuse prevention, an EDC priority area of expertise.
EDC casual employees generally work as needed. A casual position receives statutory benefits of Social Security contributions, Medicare contributions, unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation insurance and sick leave. A casual position ends when work is complete.
You will:
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to community prevention providers
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal staff in the development of projects and resources
  • Contribute to the development of client-oriented technical assistance
  • Facilitate virtual workshops designed for community prevention practitioner
QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social work, psychology, sociology, or related field
Skills & Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in public health, public administration, social work, psychology, sociology, or related field
  • Expertise in the Strategic Prevention Framework
  • Experience in providing TA in substance misuse prevention and related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with local and state prevention providers.
Preferred Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Master's degree in public health, public administration, social work, psychology, sociology, or related field

This position offers an anticipated annual base hourly range of approximately $45 to $50. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
