Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Department has an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator I, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, at EDC headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate would be based out of the Waltham Office and working in a Hybrid model. Additional office locations (DC, NY, or Chicago offices) or full (US-based) telecommuter status will also be considered.
You will:
  • Act as the main contact for all inquiries (email, USPS mail, etc.) to the Human Resources Department; answer questions and refer them appropriately.
  • Serve as a liaison for Human Resources to the Payroll department, answering questions and ensuring information is processed appropriately, and process all HR invoices for payment.
  • Coordinate logistics and assist with the administration of HR programs.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, or staff to handle administrative needs or identify information needs.
  • Maintain HR-related files in accordance with regulations and prepare HR administration-related reports.
  • Organize and support remote, hybrid, and in-person HR meetings and training events, including scheduling, reserving space, preparing materials as needed, hosting Zoom meetings, and summarizing evaluations.
  • Independently perform complex assignments requiring HR administrative knowledge and serve as a backup to other Human Resources roles, where applicable.
  • Interact extensively within and outside the organization; interact effectively with diverse staff with competing priorities, facilitate teamwork; seek and utilize feedback.
  • Monitor and help to coordinate the employee exit process.
  • Coordinate issue clarification and troubleshooting.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training & education desirable
Skills & Experience:
  • At least 2 years experience serving in an administrative role. Experience within Human Resources is preferred.
  • Requires solid experience with computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, Zoom)
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills and aptitude for details
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and excellent communications skills, and to work well under pressure, take initiative, be flexible, and handle highly confidential information appropriately
  • Customer service orientation

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $52,000 to $62,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
