Responsibilities
- Drive the following trucks as needed, Box truck, flat bed & van.
- Use all safety measures when driving making sure loads are securely tied down.
- Drive cautiously keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of yours.
- Obey the rules of the road, speed, signs and signals.
- Understand trucking safety when pulling off onto the shoulder, markers, flairs and emergency flashers.
- Keep trucks clean inside and out.
- Monitor vehicles performance and report any issues to maintenance as needed.
- Do not eat, text or use cell phones when driving company vehicles.
- Keep your eyes on the road avoiding distractions.
- Complete daily vehicle maintenance log prior to driving each day.
- Drive company Hilo's as needed when needed.
- Be courteous when arriving at destinations and dealing with customers.
- Support shipping department, shippers, expediting, packaging & materials.
- Support raw material inventory, incoming, outgoing & storage of raw materials.
- Prepare the packages to be shipped out with careful preparation of paperwork and tagging as needed.
- Maintain paperwork and records of each shipment shipped and received to be kept for future reference.
- Provide support to fellow employees within the department as needed.
- Make sure department inside and outside is clean and orderly.
- Provide support when needed in other departments.
