EDGE Engineering & Science is Hiring an Environmental Project Specialist Near Houston, TX

DESCRIPTION: EDGE is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to play a crucial role in our Compliance and Liability Management group, providing multi-media compliance support to our clients in the Oil and Gas, Chemical, and Manufacturing industries. The successful candidate will not only conduct and lead operational site audits but also work with multidisciplinary project teams conducting environmental assessments and permitting, and other compliance activities, thereby contributing significantly to our mission of becoming a leader and innovator in the environmental consulting industry. Responsibilities: Assist with comprehensive environmental compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Track the progress and completion of audits, including implementing corrective actions. Aid in modifying and renewing environmental permits, licenses, certifications, and plans. Collect, organize, analyze, and manage large volumes of client data efficiently. Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports, including but not limited to Annual and Biennial Waste Summaries, Tier II reports, TRI Form A and Form R submissions, and TSCA chemical reports, for multiple clients simultaneously. Assist in developing SPCC, SWP3, waste management, pollution prevention, and other environmental plans. Provide support across various projects, including conducting regulatory research, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing technical documents. Have foundational knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs. Operate within established quality, budget, and schedule expectations while adhering to the scope of specific assignments. Requirements: B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (M.S. preferred). Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Strong mathematical skills. Solid understanding of technical writing principles and practices. Experience conducting multi-discipline environmental audits. Possess working knowledge of federal environmental and safety regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, EPCRA, TSCA, SDWA, PPA, NPDES, OSHA, as well as various state-specific regulations. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite software programs. Advanced Excel is strongly desired. Self-motivated, quick-learning, and flexible individuals with a common-sense approach to business and workload management.
