Title: Network Administrator and IT SpecialistThe Network Administrator and IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining EdgeConneX global networks. These networks are high-availability, scalable and high-performance. This position will report to Sr. Director, Network Engineering and Systems and is based in Herndon, VA and with a hybrid/in office schedule.
Primary Responsibilities

• Day to day operations of EdgeConneX's global backbone network, data center network, and edge network.
• Operation and optimization of EdgeConneX's global LAN and WLAN networks.
• Ticket response and resolution regarding network related issues.
• Produce network architectural drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Provide design and implementation support for VMware & Hyper-V Virtualization Technologies.
• Maintaining, Deploying, and Monitoring virtual infrastructure such as VMWare, Hyper-V.
• Provide design and implementation support for Storage Area Network (SAN) & Network Attached Storage (NAS).
• Knowledge of Microsoft's infrastructures, including, but not limited to: Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, recommendation, and drive the innovation and evolution of EdgeConneX network.
• Experience in managing a large-scale network and computer systems is plus.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP network design.
• Self-motivating, good at communication and coordination, thrive in processing complex situations and team collaboration.
• Purchasing, delivery and installation oversight for IT Equipment.

Experience/Education

• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, EE, or related fields.
• 2 years working knowledge with Cisco Switches.
• 2 years working knowledge in VMWare (ESXi, vCenter).
• 2 years working knowledge of Windows (Server and Client OS), Linux.
• 2 years working knowledge of storage devices such as a Dell MD3200 or Nimble.
• 2 years working experience with end user IT troubleshooting.
• 2 years administering Office 365 and Azure services. (Such as Azure AD).
• 2 years working a ticketing system such as Service Desk Plus or Service Now.
• Strong knowledge and experience in all things IT will provide expanded opportunities.

US Salary Range
$80,000—$90,000 USD
