We are seeking a Data Center Mechanical Engineer to work directly with the CEO and focus on sales support to the Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled and motivated with experience in data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, coupled with a proven track record in sales and business development within the data center industry. This role requires a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

Technical Sales Support:

Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team, providing expert guidance on mechanical engineering aspects of data center solutions.

Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions that align with their requirements.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the data center industry, including data center operators, developers, and contractors.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering technical insights and recommendations to optimize their data center infrastructure.

Solution Design and Proposal Development:

Work closely with the engineering and design teams to develop innovative solutions that address client challenges and requirements.

Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate solution concepts and value propositions to clients.

Business Development:

Identify new business opportunities within the data center market and develop strategic plans to expand our customer base.

Proactively engage with potential clients through networking events, industry conferences, and other channels to promote our products and services.

Market Research and Analysis:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to data center infrastructure.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for product development and differentiation.

Skills & Requirements

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development within the data center industry.

Specific Skills / Abilities

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application to data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
