Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Design Specialist - Electrical Designer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site .

Principal Design Specialist - Electrical Designer:
The primary duties of the Principal Design Specialist - Electrical designer include design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas: Equipment Layout, Grounding, Raceway Layout, Lighting Systems, and Schematics, Connection and Wiring Diagrams.
Education:

• Associate degree in a technical discipline and at least twelve to fourteen (12-14) years of work experience OR fourteen to eighteen (14-18) years of practical work experience.

Experience/Skills:

• Work history shall include at least ten (10) years of experience as an Electrical Designer in the nuclear industry.
• Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
• Experience with both PDS modeling and 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
• Ability to walk-down systems in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous SRNS design experience.
• Possessed an active DOE clearance ("L" or "Q") within the past two (2) years.

Other Job Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
