Edgewater Technical Associates is Hiring a QC Specialist Near Los Alamos, NM

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a QC Specialist opportunity in Los Alamos, NM.
ResponsibilitiesThe QC Specialist will be responsible for performing and documenting inspections supporting a project team with the following tasks; including but not limited to:
  • Implement the QA/QC program on site
  • Perform various quality inspections
  • Coordinate quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors
  • Coordinate all nondestructive testing on site
  • Complete and coordinate the approval of the site QC technical submittals with the customer
  • Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters
  • Perform receiving inspection of equipment and material
Qualifications
  • 5-15 years of quality control experience on construction and nuclear projects.
  • Prior LANL experience is desired.
  • CWI certification is a plus.
  • Experienced in ASME and AWS codes preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proficient with learning and applying technical concepts.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in person
  • Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word)
  • U.S Citizenship required.
