Quality Assurance Oversight Consultant opportunity in
Richland, WA to support
DOE Hanford.Organization: AMSQDivision: Quality Assurance Division (QAD)Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA.
SCOPE OF WORKProvide support to the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site AMSQ Quality Assurance Division (QAD) in the following areas:
- Provide oversight support to external and internal auditing efforts (perform as a qualified auditor in QAD independent audits, or surveillances).
- Overall, assist ORP in its efforts to manage and oversee the Projects in accordance with DOE Orders, Hanford procedures, and the ORP Quality Assurance Program Description.
- Support by providing quality related oversight functions to Federal Project Directors in their efforts to address performance issues and verify completion of facility milestones.
- Conduct reviews of Contractor actions to address DOE Inspector General (OIG) Recommendations.
- Conduct effectiveness reviews of Contractor actions and OIG Recommendations.
- Review and comment on new and revised QAD procedures and oversight reports to ensure the documents are of high technical quality.
- Review causal analysis and actions taken to prevent the recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED- Education – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management.
- Experience – Nine (9) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly experienced in QA audits and QA program implementation
- Demonstrate familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
- Working knowledge of DOE policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and/or other MS Office tools.
- Working knowledge of corrective action programs and causal analysis.
- U.S. Citizenship
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- Expertise in corrective action programs and causal analysis.
- Working level knowledge of in nuclear safety basis and associated safety-related controls and requirements.
- Highly experienced in Quality Assurance as an auditor, lead auditor or quality assurance manager.
- Expertise in Integrated Safety Management Systems.
- Senior level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
- Senior level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Working level knowledge of Hanford’s Quality Assurance programs.
- Proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review, and coordination.
- Working level knowledge of DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn/use other technology management tools employed at Hanford.
- Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
CompensationSalary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $100,000 to $250,000 annually.
