Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Developer 2 (Professional Level Proficiency) opportunity for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Job Description:

Technical Knowledge:

• Professional level knowledge and experience planning, designing, developing, testing, and implementation of databases to meet business requirements
• Professional level proficiency of SQL, VBA, Python, R, or other relevant languages
• Professional level proficiency in query writing, stored procedures, and table/schema design
• Demonstrated prior experience with relational or non-relational database management, middleware/application administration and/or application delivery
• Experienced in performing data quality audits and or strategies
• Working knowledge of report creation (Access, SSRS, or other)
• Working knowledge of data extraction and manipulation techniques and relevant best practices

Collaboration:

We are looking for someone who can work well in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally within and outside of the group. In addition, you must have effective interpersonal skills for communicating technical information, building relationships, and resolving conflicts.

Customer Support:

Experience providing customer support including collecting project requirements, configuring, administering, and debugging technical issues. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with peers and all levels of external and internal personnel, technical and non-technical.

Education/Experience:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
