Edina Give and Go is Hiring an Executive Director Near Edina, MN

TITLE: Executive Director

REPORTS TO: Board of Directors

TIME: 30 hrs/week with flexible hours/days during the school year (approx Aug 15-Jun 15) and especially during the summer (approx Jun 15-Aug 15)

Irregular & cyclical hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Minimum 30 hours / week but could grow to full time depending on the qualifications and preferences of the candidate.

Edina Give and Go is a local non-profit organization that brings life and learning opportunities to Edina Public Schools students who are economically disadvantaged. Recognized as an official mission-aligned non-profit partner of Edina Public Schools, we believe in equitable access to the out-of-school enrichment activities in our community for all Edina Public Schools students, so they can develop new skills, discover their passion, connect with their peers, and succeed in and out of school.

Position Summary:

Edina Give and Go is seeking an Executive Director who is mission-driven and able to lead our organization with creativity, vision, and excellence. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including fundraising, financial management, student granting, community engagement, and staff supervision. As a mentor to our small staff (2-3), the Executive Director will motivate and empower the team to achieve their best work.

In addition to their operational responsibilities, the Executive Director will be a passionate leader who inspires others to engage with our mission. They will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the organization is fulfilling its mission and serving its constituents effectively. The Executive Director will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and school and community leaders.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about our organization’s mission and committed to achieving our goals to meet student needs. They will be a motivational leader who is capable of both visioning and completing tasks large and small. The Executive Director will be a strategic thinker who is able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to represent our organization to a variety of audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Relational, collaborative leader; eager and able to foster a fun, team-oriented working environment.
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to manage and develop staff, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and development with individual donors and donor cultivation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a persuasive, passionate, and effective communicator across multiple modes.
  • Strong marketing and public relations skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, energized by people and possessing a talent for relationship building, ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Board of Directors, donors, sponsors, school and community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Self-directed, action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to achieving goals, willingness to both think high-level and do what needs to be done.
  • Demonstrated leadership or engagement within the Edina community and ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in an evolving community landscape.
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, positive attitude, unwavering commitment to quality and passion for the organization’s mission and values.

Differentiators:

  • Bilingual or multilingual.
  • Experience in nonprofit programming, development, management, CRM systems, business administration, financial management and/or budgeting.

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 annually, depending upon experience and qualifications
