POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master’s degree in education administration or closely related field

Experience

  • Three years of experience as principal or school leadership position

Other Requirements

  • Must possess or have the ability to posses a valid Arizona Level One IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
  • Must currently possess a Arizona Principal’s Certification/License

  • Establishes and maintains a safe, effective learning climate in the school by implementing student behavior, attendance, social-emotional supports and school safety programs which are aligned with organizational and school mission.
  • Supervises and supports Principals in monitoring teacher and student success in classes by formal observation and
  • Works collaboratively with school administrators, community members, parents, staff, and students to formulate a school Develops goals and objectives consistent with organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates positive, collaborative leadership and participates in problem solving in a variety of situations and departments, emphasizing teamwork and beneficial effects on student educational learning and outcomes.
  • Ensures students, parents, staff and community are aware of the unique services and programs available throughout the campus.
  • Establishes and maintains positive, proactive public relations and clear, consistent communications within the school, across the Edkey, Inc organization and throughout the surrounding community, including program marketing and student outreach. Ensure clarity regarding enrollment application and admissions.
  • Seeks community, corporate and grant partnerships that would bring additional opportunities to students beyond those provided through the campus budgets. Ensures development of mentorships and internships for students.
  • Coordinates the development of the school improvement plan including pathways and existing school instructional models in accordance with the Edkey, Inc organizational mission.
  • Works with Edkey, Inc. leadership to facilitate new course approvals, textbooks approvals, and funding needed for equipment.
  • Implements an accountability system through the Edkey, Inc., accreditation process, aligning instruction with state and Edkey, Inc. standards, using the evaluation system, providing expectations for an orderly atmosphere, holding data discussions with other school administrators, staff and teachers, and making data based decision.
  • Organizes campus operations around improvement of instruction by maintaining safe and orderly environment.
  • Upholds state laws, contracts, and Edkey, Inc. policies, maintaining facility to provide a quality learning environment, efficiently managing fiscal resources. Supervises the ordering, inventory, and distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Analyzes program facilities, equipment, and materials and makes recommendations for needed changes. Manages campus facilities, develops disaster, safety, crisis, and evacuation plans, and ensures the security of buildings.
  • Oversees program efficiency and required state and Edkey, Inc. compliance records. Prepares and generates required reports.
  • In partnership with school administrators, hires, supervises and evaluates campus staff.
  • Ensures adequate and effective staffing to carry out programs.
  • Prepares and supervises the campus budget. Oversees budget and resource allocation for the campus. Provides budgetary guidance in the selection of instructional material for the school administrators.
  • Provides leadership, support, direction, supervision, and accountability for K-6 and 7-12 school Principals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and other office equipment. Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
