Edmond New Image Dentistry, p.c. is Hiring a Dental Assistant Full-Time Near Edmond, OK

POSITION TITLE : Registered Dental Assistant

We are an established private Practice in Edmond specializing in general dentistry, implants, and cosmetics. We are looking for an outgoing, self-motivated and professional dental assistant. The position is full time 4 days a week, Tuesday through Friday from 8 to 5. Medical and dental benefits available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patients chart.
  • Take proper FMX, PA, and BW’s and intraoral photos when needed
  • Prepare patient for doctor exam
  • Prep doctor on patient concerns and areas of issue before the doctor does examination
  • Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart
  • Explain steps of procedures with patients
  • Hands off patients to front desk and relays what has been done and what the patient needs to come back for
  • Follow all OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Be present in room and chart for doctor while she does the examination
  • Have a compassionate and informative bedside manner with patients
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Maintain outgoing and friendly attitude towards patients and other employees when under pressure. Respect others at all times is a must!
  • Order and keep track of all dental supplies. Communicate with hygienist and doctor on this.
  • Apply fluoride desensitizer and/or varnish when necessary for hygienist
  • Comprehensive understanding of all dental instruments
  • Be present, engaged and ready to work at all times.
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Complete clinical tasks under required time frames
  • Call on recall when there is down time
  • Experience using Dentrix is preferred
  • Be a TEAM PLAYER!!

EXPERIENCE :

  • Dental Assitant: 1 year (Preferred)

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION :

  • RDA (required)
