Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Lead Real Estate Accountant to its team. This role will work ONSITE in Cleveland, OH and works standard M-F hours 8am- 5pm. This is a long term contract role that pays $44 per hour.

The key to this role is strong Real Estate Accounting skills with past experience using Yardi software. The incumbent will:

• Work with a team of 2 other accountants overseeing commercial properties
• Deliver Journal entry preparation and review
• Provide cash analysis on a weekly basis
• Perform Ad hoc reporting
• Review and/or create real estate accounting transactions and the production of the various resulting financial reports and statements.
• Understand client requirements and ensure consistent, accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and oversee all aspects of advanced level financial statement packages, including creating and posting journal entries, ensuring cash receipts and expense payables are recorded for the period, preparing and submitting funding requests.
• Partner with field and Account Management teams to ensure requirements and terms of the client's

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 Years of Experience in Real Estate Accounting (Commercial Accounting is preferred)
• Experience using Yardi Software
• Strong Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills
