Reports To: Cross-Curricular Systems Coordinator: TEKS Resource System, TExGUIDE, Gifted and Talented, STEM, Instructional Material Salary: This is a full-time, (12) twelve-month position for 232 days with an annual salary range of $65,227 to $81,337.00. Job Summary (Primary Purpose): Support districts, campuses, and educators in planning and implementing TEKS Resource System and TExGUIDE by creating and providing professional development, technical assistance, and curriculum resources aligned with TCMPC, TEKS Resource System, TExGUIDE, and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):
Valid Texas Teacher Certification in core content
Three (3) years of teaching experience
Demonstrated leadership experience at the campus or district level, such as professional development facilitation, instructional coaching, leadership within professional learning communities
Demonstrated experience with curriculum, including, development of curriculum-aligned instructional resources and alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment
Experience in development of TEKS-aligned instructional resources and assessment
Development and facilitation of engaging professional development within face-to-face and virtual contexts
Knowledge/Skills:
Leadership within professional learning communities
Demonstrated experience with curriculum delivery
In-depth understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies
Development and facilitation of participant-focused, timely, relevant, and personalized professional development
Working knowledge of web-based resources including Google Drive, learning management systems
Working knowledge of the TEKS Resource System user management platform to support districts with technical assistance
Working knowledge of current curriculum trends, instruction, technology, assessment, and school systems
Marketing, promotion, and development of educational services and products
Communicate professionally with stakeholders and district leaders
Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team
Self-starter with ability to manage priorities to complete work in a timely fashion
Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
Effectively and efficiently develop, and deliver professional development, resources, and services to district and campus-level clients as related to TEKS Resource System and TExGUIDE
Work alongside Coordinator and district-level clients to provide customized TEKS Resource System services
Create and develop content, provide professional learning, and client support for TExGUIDE
Establish and maintain client relationships to support their unique needs
Provide customer service and support with regard to curriculum products and services
Participate in all TEKS Resource System leadership meetings alongside Coordinator
Attend TEKS Resource System content meetings led by TEKS Resource System Coordinators and stay current of revisions to the product
Provide internal training to new staff and communicate relevant updates to impacted ESC departments and/or staff
Serve as TEKS Resource System point of contact and support for programs and specialists within ESC 13
Stay current with trends and research (coaching, pedagogy, content) and apply that research in a client-centered way
Stay current with TEKS (changes, gaps, alignment) and apply that knowledge to services and products for the ESC
Perform other duties as assigned
