But you’ll be more than just a supervisor by being hands-on in the call load and day to day operations of the Pastoral Care Team. This is a Full-Time, on-site position based out of our Franklin, TN office.Available schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 11:30pm or Sunday - Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Here's some of what you will be doing:
  • Develop an understanding of work production, workflow, and priorities to effectively direct team members in daily activities and fill positions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Care Team Manager to schedule team in an efficient and effective manner. Proactively review shift objectives and adjust team focus as necessary.
  • Assist with hiring initiatives, including recruitment and evaluation of candidates.
  • Assist with identification and development of new leaders and Subject Matter Experts within the Care Team.
  • Manage Pastoral Care team’s performance. Set agreed upon expectations with Team Members, hold team accountable for results, and celebrate success. Regularly provide feedback to team members and partner with the Pastoral Care Team Manager to provide formal feedback on a semi-annual basis via the Performance Conversation Tool.
  • Focus on short-term daily objectives and immediate needs without losing sight of the long-term values. Look at projects and tasks not from a limited view of volume and output, but a perspective on impact of output.
  • Report progress towards goals and objectives to the Care Team Manager on a regular basis.
  • Assist in additional necessary Care Team trainings discovered through Quality Assurance evaluations and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, other departments, and external partners as appropriate. Represent the department as needed at meetings and with other team members and leaders throughout the Ministry.
  • Assist Pastoral Care Team Manager in coordination and implementation of special projects as needed.
  • Serve as point of contact in absence of Pastoral Care Team Manager. Escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate competence in own area and acquiring a higher-level understanding of the role.
  • Respond sensitively and appropriately to all listener prayer needs, complete daily “Pray4One” edits, respond to emails. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with listener information and member records.
  • Model and communicate best practices while maintaining your own spiritual, mental, physical, and relational health.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and developing a highly competent and responsive Pastoral Care team, ensuring alignment of goals and ministry initiatives with EMF’s mission. Foster a learning environment where training, risk management, operational best practices, and biblical values go hand in hand with creative and entrepreneurial solution that best fulfill the ministry’s mission.
  • Help to build a strong, healthy, and productive team, with defined processes, and caring relationships. Serve as a professional, positive role model for team.
  • Help to monitor, develop, and create an environment for team and individual mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
  • Utilize the EMF Leadership Framework in setting professional goals for self and direct reports. Actively seek and partake in training & education to deepen Biblical understanding, media/business acumen, leadership knowledge, interpersonal awareness, and communication skills.
Here's what we are looking for:
  • Minimum two years hands-on ministry experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a customer service environment, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of computers and common software applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, Studio Enterprise, “Pray4One”, and Interactive Scripter software in addition to Social Media forums and smart devices.
  • Ability to effectively transmit ideas, thoughts, and information clearly and concisely to others in verbal and written form through the appropriate person/channel. Demonstrates effective listening skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a high customer service, multi-task, fun, and performance-oriented team.
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy for day to day activities as well as in an environment that will become very busy during and after Pledge Drive weeks.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.
