EDUCATIONAL SERVICE DIST 112 is Hiring a Prenatal-3rd Grade Family Access Navigator Near Vancouver, WA

General ResponsibilitiesThank you for your interest in ESD 112 and our Early Care and Education department. Early Care and Education promotes school readiness efforts through individualized services that benefit children. We assist families, child care providers and community partners in providing quality early learning programs and professional development opportunities throughout the ESD 112 region. Our vision is to uphold our shared responsibility to foster growth and resilience in young children, families, educators and the community through individualized, high-quality programs.Under the general direction of the ECE manager, the Prenatal to 3rd Grade Family Access Navigator provides early learning navigation and coordinated recruitment and enrollment support to families and community partners. Salary: The full annual salary range is $43,401.56 - $52,804.04. Offers are made at the entry level of the range. *Effective September 1, 2024, the new salary range will be $45,011.20 - $54,766.40.Assignment:This position will be full-time, year-round. The position also requires a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), proof of MMR immunization, and a TB test prior to starting. This dual role will support families in the Cowlitz/Wahkiakum area in addition to providing regional supports. They will have an office in Cowlitz County. Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions:
  1. Establish and maintain professional, effective working relationships with families, staff and community partners.
  2. Support families and caregivers in accessing early learning resources to include distribution of local and regional outreach materials.
  3. Implement, plan, and facilitate community-wide family engagement strategies with local community and childcare partners.
  4. Adhere to communication and implementation plans regarding the coordinated recruitment and enrollment process.
  5. Support regional partnership activities with key partners across the early learning landscape (CCA, ESDs, School Districts, Licensed child care and

  7. Engage in planning and delivery of community and outreach events.
  8. Maintain a resource bank of documents related to program eligibility, coordinated enrollment, and regional early learning family resources and work in partnership with the CCA of WA Family Center to ensure referral and resource accuracy and coordination.
  9. Use data tracking programs to organize, enter, track, and maintain resources, opportunities, and client information.
Other Functions:
  1. Maintain confidentiality.
  2. Plan and facilitate child activities at events as needed.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Experience in an early learning setting and/or family support role.
  3. Experience using Microsoft Office programs and other databases.
  4. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience answering multiple phone lines.
  2. Experience working in an Early Childhood program and with families of young children.
  3. Knowledge of local community resources and enrollment and eligibility criteria for early learning programs.
  4. Bilingual-bicultural.
  5. Recent successful experience using databases for information management.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions:
  1. Office environment, child care sites, home visits, community events.
  2. Operate keyboard to accomplish required tasks.
  3. Perform stationary routine and repetitive functions for extended periods.
  4. Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  5. Regular attendance during scheduled work hours that can include events in the evening and on weekends.
  6. Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout southwest Washington.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
  2. Tuberculosis test to meet state health requirements.
