Educational Service District 112 is Hiring a Registered Behavior Technician Near Center, WA
Salary:The salary range for this position is $28.39 - $34.54* per hour. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.
There are multiple openings. These positions will be 8 hours per day, 210 days per year and will serve our Clark County Therapeutic Education Center (CTEC) program.
Start date will be August 19, 2024.Essential Functions:
- Perform tasks assigned by the BCBA/BCaBA
- Assist the Special Education Teacher, consistent with IEP or IFSP goals, in lesson plan implementation; one-on-one & small group instruction; classroom management; student observation & assessment; and communication with parents and staff.
- Collect data and report student progress.
- Maintain accurate data collection records.
- Communicate with staff and parents as instructed by the Special Education Teacher.
- Implement, assess, and evaluate implementation of student intervention plans and programs; provide input and feedback to teachers, parents, other appropriate team members and the Assistant Director.
- Implement positive behavior intervention systems.
- Manage crisis intervention by maintaining a safe, classroom environment for the students.
- Participate as a member of the education team. May attend parent conferences.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend various training sessions needed in order to maintain an up-to-date understanding of behavioral intervention and other related meetings.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hold or obtain a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 60 days of employment.
- Two years of experience working with students with behavior or mental health issues.
- Working knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations and procedures.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician.
- Training and/or experience in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques.
- Training and/or experience in implementation of positive behavior supports.
- Training and/or experience in Collaborative Problem Solving.
- Training in functional behavior analysis.
- Classroom setting, may move from classroom to classroom to provide services.
- Provide assistance and attend to the physical needs of students including moving and positioning students and assisting with personal hygiene needs, including but not limited to: tube feeding, catheterization, changing diapers, toileting.
- Job involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, carrying, reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, crouching, pushing and pulling.”
- Regular attendance during assigned work schedule.
- Students may use challenging or offensive verbalizations toward staff and other students with potential to escalation to physical aggression.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
