Edward-Elmhurst Health is Hiring a Medical Group- Patient Support Assistant; General Surgery Near Evanston, IL
Position Highlights:
- Position: Patient Support Assistant; General Surgery
- Location: Evanston Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-430pm
- Required Travel: As needed to support clinical staff
What you will do:
- Handle routine scheduling calls/messages
- Work through referral lists and assist with appointment scheduling
- Assist with clinic scheduling and patient re-schedules
- Schedule procedures and imaging as requested by clinical staff
- Review daily clinical schedules (Insurance verification/appointment notes/linking referrals/patient check-in, others as needed)
- Assist with basic patient scheduling questions and/or concerns
- Inputting referrals
Communicate with patients and pre-certification staff regarding status or referrals/orders
What you will need:
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks/problem solve/ and produce detailed, precise work
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred; including Microsoft Outlook
- Must be a team player and possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
