What You'll Do:
The Threat Management - Response team responds to alerts on activity in the environment and investigates those accordingly, escalating where appropriate. As continue to mature our capabilities, we will need to continue developing technical response capabilities as well as building out and procedures for cross-organization incident response actions, both of which will be a focus for the role.
As the Technical Architect for the Threat Management - Response team, you will have the opportunity to design, execute, and oversee the most sophisticated offensive and defensive security activities in the Incident Response, Threat Detection, Hunt, and Red Team space for the firm. You will be responsible for quickly decisioning and actioning events in high-pressure and high-risk situations that may have a material impact on the Firm.
Here are a few more of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:

• Lead in-depth security investigations/assessments, utilizing advanced skillset and analyzing logs, network traffic, and other data sources to identify root cause and assess risk/impact.
• Function as a key decision-maker in ambiguous situations, providing clear direction and coordination.
• Develop documentation and capabilities, incorporating industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and lessons learned from previous events.
• Ensure that all security investigations are properly documented/tracked to meet team, audit, and legal requirements.
• Lead development of KPIs, KRIs, and benchmarks through data analytics to measure the effectiveness of the service.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Edward Jones environment and use that knowledge to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead after-action reviews.
• Effectively communicate with peers and leadership, including senior leadership, to ensure awareness of progress, challenges.
• Mentor and coach less senior team members.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
Hiring Minimum: $113810
Hiring Maximum: $193785
Skills/Requirements
What Experience You'll Need :

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
• 10 years of Technology Security Experience, including :
  • 5 years in SOC or working in Incident Response/Handling/Threat Management
  • Advanced knowledge across specialty areas to include Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Cloud, Authentication/Identity, and Network.
  • Proven track record in a lead analyst role, effectively communicating and delegating tasks to analysts of varying levels of expertise.
  • Experience in developing, refining, and maturing playbooks and runbooks, ensuring robust and comprehensive investigation/assessment management processes.
  • Technical proficiency in handling complex security events, with a deep understanding of the current cybersecurity landscape and threats.

What Could Set You Apart:

• Any of the following certifications : SANS SEC699, SANS SEC598, SANS LDR553, SANS FOR608, or SANS SEC599
• Advanced experience of writing code/scripts in at least one language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, etc)

***Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday***
