Edwards Auto Group in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an entry level Maintenance Tech to join our team. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for general maintenance of our buildings’ interior and exterior. The maintenance tech will be a jack-of-all-trades, with basic knowledge of most preventative maintenance including electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, drywall, basic tools and appliances. The maintenance tech will also be responsible for snow removal during the winter months.

The hours are M-F from 8am-5pm. The role will require flexibility and some on-call for maintenance emergencies and snow removal.

• Applying preventative measures to the buildings to reduce future problems.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
