EF Senior Care is recruiting for an on site billing person for a growing home care company in Worcester,MA. The position is up to 24 hrs per week , and may lead to future growth with the company. We prefer someone with prior healthcare/medical care billing experience but will also train the right individual.

Job Title: Home Health Biller

Educational: Bachelors Degree or 5 years equivalent experience

Skills: Ability to work cooperatively with others. Knowledge of the MMIS and FISS

Systems. Strong computer skills. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and self-task.

Essential Functions for Home Health Biller:

• Maintain all cash deposits, private pay folders with receipts and invoices, and backup to Daily Census.
• Responsible for all home health billing (Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid, Private)
• Answer phone calls regarding the agency.
• Work AR: includes calling insurance companies, sending corrected claims and appeals and maintaining resident account balances.
• Participate in meetings such as financial, QAPI, safety committee, medicare meeting and monthly triple check.
• Prepare and communicate financial reports weekly and monthly.
• Financial case management of new referrals and existing clients.
• Maintaining aging and showing all claims are paid timely.
• Update and keep current all insurances and payor rates in EMR through contract/rate reviews.
