EFCO Corp. (https://www.efcoforms.com/) is one of the world's leading manufacturers of forming systems for concrete constructions headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa (USA). EFCO believes in helping those responsible for the construction of the world's concrete structures with a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient concrete formwork solution. EFCO does this by engineering, designing, manufacturing, supplying and field servicing formwork and elevated slab shoring systems for concrete construction.
Job Duties: Job is located in Marlboro, New Jersey but candidate will be required to travel 30% of the time to various unspecified and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
  • Identify concrete shoring and formwork engineering solutions. Assess customer project needs and requirements. Determine formwork design specifications and system requirements. Prepare formwork design drawings and formwork planning. plan, research, develop, design, and construct formwork and shoring solution products for concrete forming and shoring construction projects. Design erection drawings for product use, using AutoCAD design and drafting software. Plan formwork project development and design. Review and analyze formwork construction blueprints. (20%)
  • Analyze plans, reports, budgets, and other operational data to plan and direct formwork and shoring product design for construction projects to ensure execution in accordance with the schedule, design specifications, and safety standards. Manage engineering team and projects to ensure compliance with ACI 347, AISC Steel Construction Manual and Construction Safety Standards. (20%)
  • Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other relevant factors during the planning and risk analysis stages of concrete forming and shoring construction projects. (20%)
  • Analyze test results on building materials for use in particular projects to ensure safety, strength, and durability. Review and analyze performance of products and design of erection drawings for product use to ensure effectiveness of the user application resources and training applied in the sales operations. Review cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor to determine a projects economic feasibility and ensure company profitability. (20%)
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products to the sales team. Provide technical support and training to the sales team on the construction engineering technology and the technical and economic advantages of technologically advanced formwork and shoring products that the sales team sells to current and prospective customers. (20%)
Minimum Job RequirementsMust have a Bachelor's Degree or a foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered as a District Manager or a closely related position with similar duties under a different job title.
  • Two (2) years of experience to include:
    • Concrete shoring and formwork engineering
    • Formwork design drawing
    • AutoCAD formwork planning
    • Reading and analyzing construction blueprints
    • Planning formwork project development and design
    • Managing engineering team and projects to ensure compliance with ACI 347, AISC steel construction manual and construction safety standards.
  • Job is located in Marlboro, New Jersey, but candidate will be required to travel 30% of the time to various unspecified and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
