Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to healthcare professionals in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics and Level II Trauma Centers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient care for a diverse patient population, including geriatric patients.
- Administer medications and perform medication reconciliation accurately.
- Handle patient service duties such as scheduling appointments and assisting with patient inquiries.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and coding purposes.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification.
- AHA BLS Required
- Experience working in an outpatient or Level II Trauma Center setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
