Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 07:30-18:00 Call Tuesday's and Wednesday's 18:00-07:30
Position SummaryTechnologists perform procedures and examinations in the radiology department under the direction of In land Imaging radiologists and other medical providers to produce radiographic studies which are used in medical diagnosis to locate injuries, foreign bodies, pathological conditions or lesions within the body
Follow District policies and procedures and well as federal and state regulations.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitesReview and evaluate x-ray information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
Operate or oversee operation of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Position and immobilize patient on examining table.
Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
Rotates on call duties as assigned by the department manager
Document all patient data, code and bill patient data
Clean and adjust radiology equipment as needed
Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Professional RequirementsActively checks and responds to emails throughout the day.
Completes all mandatory education within given timeframe.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Attends annual review and department in-services as scheduled.
Attends at least 75% of staff meetings; reviews all monthly staff meeting minutes.
Actively participates in the departments quality improvement (QI) activities.
Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices and the employee handbook.
Communicates the mission, vision and values of the organization as well as the focus of the department.
Meets dress code standards for the department; appearance is neat and clean.
Education And/or Work Experience RequirementsGraduate from an Accredited Radiology Program
Must be board certified ARRT(R), or board eligible
Must be board certified
within 6 months of hire.
Certified by the State of Washington to practice and administer radiation.
CT Experience Required.Other skills abilitiesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, patients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
