Job description:The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of radiologists and physicians. They operate imaging equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure accurate image capture for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Job description:The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of radiologists and physicians. They operate imaging equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure accurate image capture for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Preparation:
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures, explaining process and ensuring comfort.
- Position patients correctly and shield vulnerable areas as necessary.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Operational Duties:
- Operate X-ray, MRI, CT, and other radiologic equipment following safety protocols.
- Adjust imaging equipment settings to obtain optimal images for interpretation.
- Process images and ensure technical quality meets diagnostic standards.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Document patient information, procedure details, and results accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in interpreting imaging results as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Graduated from accredited Radiology Training Program
- Be licensed by the state of Wisconsin as a Radiographer within 6 months of hire
- Be ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) registry eligible
- Have a current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
