EFP, LLC is Hiring a Cold Chain Sales Development Program Near La Vergne, TN

Cold Chain Sales Development RoleIf you have a degree in Biology, Logistics, or Transportation with a desire to excel in cold chain sales, this program is for you. EFP has a great opportunity for a recent graduate with 2-3 years of experience in a related field to develop their skills within the cold chain packaging industry, while being placed in our Sales Development Program.

This is a 1-2 year program with a goal to promote you to an Account Manager (AM). The length of this program will be entirely up to the pace of your learning and readiness to excel in the role as an Account Manager. Since we are a growing company, there will be opportunities for you to relocate to multiple geographic regions. This position reports directly to our Director of Cold Chain Business Development.
Job SummaryCold Chain Specialist (50%)
  • Under the mentorship of several key leaders on the Cold Chain team, you will be trained, mentored and eventually tested to assure you will become a skilled cold chain salesperson.
Sales Development (50%)
  • You will be given existing customer accounts to manage and grow.
  • You will participate in formal sales training to hone your customer relations, prospecting, and closing skills.
  • You will have the opportunity to learn from our best Sales Reps through ride-alongs and participation in interactive and consultative, solution-selling presentations.
Job Duties And FunctionsSales Related
  • Develop a complete understanding of cold chain packaging technical selling requirements and capabilities.
  • Apply knowledge of customer’s business to identify and define cold chain solution opportunities.
  • Build and maintain “trusted advisor” status in a reasonably complex, multi-level decision-making environment.
  • Answer objections by seeking understanding and agreement to gain a positive outcome.
  • Use accepted negotiation skills to present the company’s position effectively.
  • Maintain a current understanding of market segment changes and trends.
  • Collect information and communicate details of customer issues and develop solutions to the identified issues.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Effectively follow up on all opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate customer requirements to the operations team to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Update CRM with all customer information, notes, and project status.
Cold Chain Related
  • Deliver moderately complex cold chain packaging system solutions that address customer needs.
  • Become an expert in materials, processes, and approaches to offer unique and innovative solutions to the existing customer base.
  • Interface with customers to assist sales in answering customer questions regarding cold chain solutions.
  • Perform inspections on production samples to verify production output meets design input.
  • Interpret customer requirements and solve complex customer cold chain packaging requirements.
Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Biology, Logistics, or Transportation required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to demonstrate and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, communicates clearly, and persuades others to act.
  • Knowledge of computing, ability to effectively develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office and Outlook documents.
  • Demonstrated initiative to continuous professional development.
  • Willing to travel extensively within selected geography, up to 40%, with company-paid travel expenses.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Good observation and listening skills with the ability to capture important facts and details.
  • Resourceful and innovative to overcome obstacles.
  • Technical as well as creative and can apply knowledge to solve a problem.
  • Persistent, does not give up when told no.
  • Can communicate at all levels within an organization, both written and verbally.
  • Desires input and coaching to improve skill set and is able to accept constructive feedback when given.
