Purpose
The Quality Assurance Manager provides direction and leadership to the quality group including people management as follows: managing performance; addressing disciplinary issues; hiring; assisting people with career development; and communicating information to direct reports and management. They are required to ensure the team is aligned with and accomplishing corporate goals/objectives, root-cause analysis, and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsible for strategic planning of quality innovation, document administration, barrier elimination, driving efficiencies in inspection cycle times, and managing the department budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage critical systems including but not limited to management review, calibration, internal/external audits, change control, document control, nonconforming product, and inspection testing.
- Manage product testing methods.
- Manage a strong team of quality system support individuals.
- This position manages and develops a staff of direct employees.
- Ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed quality standards, specifications, and performance requirements.
- Implement robust inspection and testing processes to detect and prevent defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Lead risk management activities for the production, identifying potential risks associated with manufacturing processes and products.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to minimize product-related risks.
- Develop and present quality metrics and performance reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and ensure sustained quality improvement.
- Approve or Disapprove Training Material proposals in QT9.
- Other duties as assigned.
