Overview: Einstein Tutoring is excited to offer a fulfilling opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Tutor to join our vibrant team. This position is uniquely focused on providing in-person academic support to a 2nd grader, with a preference for tutors who have experience or interest in working with special needs students. As a tutor with Einstein, you will not only aid in academic tasks but also play a pivotal role in enriching the student's educational journey.

Duties:

• Provide engaging and effective in-person tutoring specifically tailored to a 2nd-grade level, covering subjects like math, reading, and writing.
• Develop personalized and adaptive lesson plans that cater to the individual learning style and needs of the student, especially considering any special educational requirements.
• Offer one-on-one tutoring sessions that emphasize interactive learning and academic confidence-building.
• Employ innovative and age-appropriate classroom management strategies to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the student’s parents and teachers to monitor progress and address any academic or behavioral concerns.
• Utilize and integrate educational technology and resources effectively to support and enhance the learning experience.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, and creativity in teaching methods, especially accommodating the unique needs of a student with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in tutoring or teaching young children, particularly in an in-person setting; experience with special needs education is highly preferred.
• Strong command of elementary-level academic subjects, with the ability to make learning fun and accessible.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for explaining concepts in a clear, engaging, and patient manner.
• Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods to meet the specific needs of the student.
• Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons effectively and track the student’s progress.
