EIS Consulting Group is on looking to add a Help Desk Support Specialist who wants to work in a flexible, work-from-home environment. If you’re someone who values individual responsibility and seeks a healthy work-life balance, let’s start a conversation.

Our team provides IT support and services to clients in the North Bay and San Francisco areas, we also have clients in the Charleston, SC markets as well. If you join our team, you would be assisting the help-desk team efficiently handles issues remotely, with clear and comfortable communication. This role is perfect for those who excel in virtual communication and problem-solving.

This full-time, remote position is a blend of technical know-how, customer service finesse, and organizational skills. It’s about 25% empathy and support, 25% systematic work habits, and 50% technical expertise. We offer a salaried role with paid vacation and holidays, medical benefits (including dental and vision), and a 3% employer-contribution 401k plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advanced end-user support and handle help-desk escalations remotely.
  • Manage deployment and troubleshooting of software and network issues.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation.
  • Deliver timely and effective solutions to technical problems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A friendly “people person” with a good sense of humor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical users without being condescending.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and ask clarifying questions.
  • Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and professional manners.
  • Proven ability to diagnose issues and think critically to offer appropriate solutions.
  • At least one year of IT experience, preferably with remote support.
  • Good understanding of:
    • Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
    • Basic network concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and software.
  • A home office setup that allows for professional, uninterrupted work.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with IT ticket systems, particularly ConnectWise.
  • Knowledge of Google products and Office 365
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
