Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of EIS operating system across 30 facilities to ensure common language, standard metrics, and a culture that incorporates Continuous Improvement into daily operations.
- Champion Continuous Improvement culture leading by example.
- Assist with best practice communication and standardization.
- Train employees on Lean methodologies including Five S, Waste Identification, Problem Solving, and Kaizen Process Improvement events.
- Conduct Kaizen events to model problem solving methodology and achieve process improvement gains.
- Conduct Kaizen event with emphasis on SMED methodology
- Assist facilities in implementing visual workplace including Five S and Metrics boards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and site leadership to implement new technology to improve processes and reduce cost.
- Assist Senior Director, Continuous Improvement with content creation, training, Kaizen events and site visits.
- Expert in Lean/Continuous Improvement tools and deployment
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques, esp. in machine shop environment and equipment optimization
- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Strong analytical skills including Five Why, Cause and Effect, PDCA and DMAIC
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and work with the team to maintain the gain
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Change management proficiency
- Engaging and effective trainer
- Regular periods of sitting and standing
- Sustained visual concentration
- Occasional exposure to dust, noise, odors, chemicals, temperature extremes, operating machinery, etc.
- Overnight travel, up to 75%
- Bachelor's degree in technical field, engineering preferred
- Operations experience in machine shop environment
- 5 years of Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
