What will I do in this role as the Director of Clinical and Supportive Services?

  • Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive supportive services to benefit clients of the Health Center
  • Develop and implement client care systems and methodologies that are client centered and individualized into the delivery of integrated health services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the ethical, confidential, and respectful delivery of supportive services at the health center
  • Assist with the development and implementation of budgets that support clinical and supportive services for the health center; respond to cost overruns as necessary
  • Facilitate and cultivate collaborations that promote supportive services and behavioral health opportunities with community partners
  • Provide individualized supervision to direct reports that are consistent with agency's Continuous Quality Improvement plans
  • Provide direct services to a caseload of clients, including clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, unhoused clients, and clients living with HIV/AIDS and other health comorbidities
  • Work closely with the Health Center leadership team to oversee the delivery of individualized "wrap around" integrated services that address the holistic needs of clients including healthcare, mental health, substance abuse treatment, as well as supportive services including employment, housing, transportation, etc.
  • Establish services based on health intervention screening tools, including PHQ-2, PHQ-9, and SBIRT
  • Ensure prompt delivery of strength-based case management services, including the development of individualized treatment plans for clients meeting with behavioral health and recovery clinicians
  • Foster coordination between and among supportive services, medical, vision, dental, shelter, food service, and other staff to ensure holistic approach to goal planning
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance Manager to ensure prompt and accurate entry of data into electronic health record
  • Work closely with Executive Director and Quality Assurance Manager to monitor performance outcomes and compliance with funder-required program and administrative standards
  • Prepare for and participate in auditing visits from funding and oversight entities to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Work closely with the Health Center leadership team to ensure effective system for measuring and reporting achievement of program outcomes and "productivity" of supportive services staff
  • Work with Medical Director to ensure weekly MAT and mental health case reviews with relevant staff to ensure positive outcomes for all clients
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and other administrative duties for clinical/supportive services department
  • Hire, evaluate, develop, and dismiss staff according to LSS/FMHC policies and procedures
  • Maintain independent social work licensure, or related licensure, in order to provide quality field instruction to student interns

What do I need for this role with Lutheran Social Services?

  • Master's degree in Social Work, related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Preferred licensure includes: LISW-S, LICDC, LPCC or licensure in related field
  • Minimum four years working in a social service setting required.
  • Experience working with the following or related populations: unstable housing, mental health disorders, substance use disorder, and other health comorbidities
  • Experience with MOUD treatment program
  • Proficient use of computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
