Job Summary: 

Ekspert Counsel is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney in Houston, TX for a remote based position. Responsibilities:

Legal Research:

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments. 
• Review, evaluate, and prepare cases for trial.

Drafting Pleadings:

• Prepare legal documents, including complaints, responses to motions to dismiss (MTD), and motions for summary judgment (MSJ).

Settlement Negotiations:

• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.

Depositions:

• Prepare for and attend depositions, gathering crucial information for cases.

Discovery Management:

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and address any associated issues.

Court Hearings:

• Attend court hearings to represent clients and present legal arguments. 
• Maintain consistent communication and provide updates to clients, ensuring they are informed and engaged.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate
• Admitted to the Texas Bar, in good standing
• Experience in Personal Injury and/or First Party Property Insurance Litigation is required (experience must be in Texas court).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary and a great bonus structure that includes 5-10% of each settlement and 5% origination bonuses.
• Firm pays 100% of insurance (health, dental, vision, etc.)
