Job Summary The Billing Coordinator, Mental Health and Wellness under the general direction of the Director, Mental Health and Wellness, leads efforts to develop sustainable school-based health programs; provides technical assistance including coaching and training related to billing, claims submission, and sustaining school-based health programs; works in partnership with El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE), Local Education Agencies (LEA), Managed Care Plans (MCP), the Department of Behavior Health (EDCBH), other government agencies, provides technical assistance including coaching and training, specialized, consultative, advisory and planning services in the area of claims submission and reimbursement for health services.
Requirements / Qualifications Education: Three (3) or more years of increasingly responsible experience in Medicaid/Commercial Insurance billing, claims submission/processing or school-based billing or medical billing or accounting related functions.
OR A Bachelor's degree (preferred in the area of public health, healthcare administration, business administration, accounting).
Experience: Billing experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center or Rural Health Center strongly preferred.
