The Echocardiography Technician performs echocardiography examinations for subsequent evaluation and interpretation by a physician. Operates the Diagnostic ECG/Echocardiography equipment; Performs studies to include: Echocardiograms 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, contrast, stress echo, and transesophageal. Ability to work effectively within role and with other team members. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to understand medical/surgical Terminology. Ability to perform basic computer keyboard skills. Required Experience: Work Experience One year of experience as Echocardiography Tech preferred. License/Registration/Certification RDCS or RCS registry through ARDMS, or RCI registry through CCI preferred. Associates of Applied Science in Diagnostic Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology or Ultrasound required
