- Execute department production plan and ensure department policies are followed.
- Record production data and provide feedback to the teams on performance.
- Ensure effective employee relations.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Provide employee coaching and development.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
- Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
- Supports organizational goals and values.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Conducts production employee training, explaining and demonstrating internal processes and procedures.
- Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
